I've made a dress - card last week ( i'll show you in a view days) and by accident, the first dress went out too big for a card. This dress inspired me to make a *Layered Layout*
As you know me, i'm never working without my camera. So i'll try to let you look behind the secret of these layers. I hope you have enough patience, because i can't explain it with three pictures (:o)
Please, get something to drink and take a seat...
I started with piece of 12" craft - cardstock adhered to corrugated cardboard. The glue in this case is Multi Matt Medium for paper and Glossy Accents for the flowers and metall stuff
Adhered stripes of pattern paper, distressed at the edges. Used a punch on some stripes, adhered some crocheted lace and dresden foil
On top, i adhered paper doilys, magic mesh, lasercut wings, flowers, wooden spools, halfpearls and a lot of other small embellishments....everything in layers...
Now..the scary moment...(:o)
I painted white acrylic paint over the hole top
First i spritzed a mix of Reinkers, water and perfect pearls in shabby shutters and mustard seed....
..but changed my mind after drytime and went over to thinned down acrylic paint and layerd a lot of washes. Used Distress Crackle Paint Picket Fence and Rock Candy and layered some glas beads...and a lot more washes
Adhered more embellishments as pearls and used embossing powders in yellow and green
The finished result before i started adhering my dress, journaling and the rest of embellishments
Some Close Up's
