ATC - Bag with Sticky Back Canvas

Here is the workshop about the paper transfer to sticky back canvas, i promised a view days ago. I've got the idea for this ATC  - Bag after watching a creation  Neil  came up with and his blogname is Neelz Expressionz. He is a great artist and i really appreciate his artwork. Feel free to join his blog, because he's sharing a lot of his knowledge. You'll find his Canvas creation here.

As usual....the making of pictures after my final Creation. I 'll also join my ATC - Bag to the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge for this week, because the theme is NO RULES.

Beware.....you can get hooked (:o)

Ok..and now up to the beginning...

I used a patterned paper from the Lost and Found Stack from Tim Holtz and a left over piece of Claudine Hellmuth's sticky back canvas

Peel of the plastic securing from the back side of the canvas....

...and adhere the sticky side to the patterned paper as shown...stick very well, maybe you have a brayer on hand or use something simular....i used the flat side of a fork (:o)

Turn everything around... use a mister..and spray with water...

...and begin gently rubbing.....

...and rubbing....

... more water...and more rubbing....

..till it looks like this....

Go wild with stamping....

A little break to the inside now....

I used atc sized envelopes ( C7 in Germany) and used Distress Stain's on  both sides

I also stamped on both sides. Cut one side open for the opening...

Use double sided tape...

..and adhere the envelopes together

Finished inside...
Back to the canvas again....

Cut to needed size. I also sewed around the edges.

I prepared the canvas with two eyelets for the D - Ring - Handle and a metal flower as embellishment

Now....use Claudine Hellmuth's Matt Medium for Outside sealing...

...and apply with with your fingers....

..let dry....

When dry.....use the red strong tacky tape to adhere the envelopes to the inside of the canvas

Use sticky velcro ...

...under metal flower for closure

....Ready!!!

How cool is that?
Some hugs to Neil for showing this stunning idea. I am hooked!!
I've made other versions of little bags and a mini album cover with this canvas paper transfer, i'll show the next time.
Hope you enjoyed this workshop
Thanks for your appreciated comments, i looooooooooooooooooove to read (:o)

You have such a neat way of explaining it.
