Altered *Artsy* box of wooden memory blocks
The lid of the box is painted with DecoArt aquamarine acrylic paint. After using a crackle medium, i painted another layer of white acrylic paint. Sealed the hole box with Ranger Matt Medium
The middle of the lid is painted with chalkboard paint and framed with some german dresden foil. The Artsy clockwork birds (Hot Pick 1107) are applyed by using a paper transfer technique with gel medium. I embellished the birds with stickles and twinkling H2O. Used some tiny black alpha beads to create Beware.
First painted the edges of the box with black acrylic paint, followed by a layer of white acrylic paint and after drytime sanded the edges for a shabby look.
I stamped Artsy At Home Plate 3, Dolls Plate 1, Crowns & Castles 4 serveral times on tissue with StazOn black and adhered in pieces to the box. Secured everything with a finish layer of Ranger Matt Medium.
I sanded a view wooden blocks and adhered old script pages from a french book. Used vintage photo DI for the edges. Stamped some blocks with small stamps from Artsy At Home Plate 3 and Dolls Plate 1. Stamped the dolls from Dolls Plate 1 on shrink plastic. Adhered the smaller versions to the blocks and embellished with tiny white alpha beads ART and CREATE. Coloured the chipboard letters ARTSY with aquamarine acrylic paint and sealed with gel medium. Adhered them to the blocks also.
For the doll’s on top:
Applyed a wash of aquamarine paint on two wooden blocks. Stamped the middle section of each doll with StazOn black around the blocks.
Stamped the dolls on cardstock too, to cut out heads and legs.
Screwed in some screw eyes to create arms and legs. Adhered the heads to wire and fixed the wire on screw eyes.
I have made some paper – beads and used some pearls to form legs with wire. Affixed to screw eyes also.
Is this art?
I really love to read what you think.
