ATC - Letter D - Da Vinci Code

Next letter on my atc's for a forum trade.

Da Vinci Code

The idea came by reading the book. There was some kind of machine ? and you needed a code to open it.
Sorry to my trading girls, because this atc fits no pocket (:o)

Have a nice weekend

Framed

Hopefully you don't get an acute respiratory distress syndrom, while watching my contribution for
Simon Says Stamp and Show:  Depth of Distress.
I started my frames very relaxed, but however my distress is some kind of obsession and i couldn't get enough. (:o)

First, i traced my created template on cardboard and cut out with scissors

Sealed both sides with Ranger Glue and Seal

Used gold dabber on one and Americana vivid violet on the other frame

For more action....crackle medium and DecoArt titanium white

The results after painting

Hmm...and because i couldn't get enough....see for yourself...

Some close up's ?
The shabby chic variations

Ok...up to the next one..

The vintage *Tim Holtz* Distress Variation

...and of course the *Andy Skinner Timeworn* Steampunk Variation

I've scanned my template, if you want to make one too

Just for respectability. I have got the idea from my YouTube friend Fiona *Jennings644*
 Thanks for watching (:o)
Let me know, if you make one too.

Hugs

Freestyle

Germany v Italy

Europe is in  EM - Soccer Fever

I think it's nearly the same procedure in a lot domestic homes at this time.
People watching soccer. The oldest sitting in front of TV and the youth's having pubblic viewing. I came across a  picture of my son on facebook and thought *GAGA* (:o)
They are creative on their own *lol*
The picture inspired me to something

Rusty things needed?

It's time to prepare rusty things for future projects. How ..do you ask?

Look at this tin, i've left outside over the winter, with some water in it.

Normaly, you would throw it away, but you can use it to prepare rusty things as Zuzu shows in her post here.
It's the same process, to rust nails or washers. I use a mister with a vinegar / water mix. Mist the mix on and let dry in the sun. Repeat till you get the rusty look you want.

What else is going on in my garden?
The little shed is finished and needs more paint now. Sadly, it's not my summer workspace ;o) It is for gardening tools, only.

Take a closer look to the right side of the shed. That's what i'm working on right now

I found this chandelier on a flea market / jumble sale. This will be the birthday present for a hubby's colleague in july. I'm going to alter it, for a shabby look to fit her living room.
As you see, summertime means beeing creative outside for me.
I have also a little wooden cabinet and three wooden stools to alter for a shabby look. I'll show you later, when i start working on.

I wish you a nice weekend, hopefully with a little bit sunshine (:o)

Bo Bunny Timepiece Journal

A new challenge on Simon Says Stamp and Show a Bit of Brown
I need a card for a 50 th birthday next month, for a colleague of hubby. I made a little journal instead a card, so that all the colleagues can write a birthday greeting in it.

I waiting for some small pictures of the birthday girl (:o) and i'm going to cut some mats of white ledger paper for the greetings.
Here is the journal i've made so far.....with Bo Bunny Timepiece

The butterflies ( stampers anonymous papillon) are stamped with archival coffee on scraps of timepiece paper, cut out and adhered on cover with glossy accents and stamped on some places into the journal

If you want to know, how to assemble this journal, made from one sheet of paper, i advise you to watch this tutorial on YouTube.

Thanks for reading and leaving comments (:o)
