I wish you a nice and sunny start into this week, which i'm starting with something industrial - steampunk.
I wanted to create a diver with helmet for the SanDee & Amelie's Steampunk Challenge *Underwater*, but the helmet seems to be a brainbreaker and needs a bit time to grow. By accident i came across a box which got my attention about the form. Well, the followed paint - treatment for an industrial - steampunk look was a go with the flow (:o)
A fishy submarine
Here is the box before
I covered the lid with dry embossed aluminium foil and applyed a mixture of DecoArt Acrylic Paint *Sea Aqua* and DecoArt Traditions *Medium Grey*
The next step was a little bit painting for a sub - look with DecoArt Acrylic Paint in *Spiced Pumkin* and a mixture of *Snow White* and *Medium Grey*
Glued on all my favorite embellishments for a steamy look
More paint in the same colours as i wrote above.....
...followed by a lot washes in DecoArt Traditions *Transparent Yellow Iron Oxide*, *Transparent Red Iron Oxide* and *Quinacridone Gold*
The last step was drybrushing with *Raw Umber* and *Medium Grey*
A perfect box to keep my metal embellishments, don't you think?
If you feel inspired, hop over to SanDee & Amelie and take a look at the other 2D and 3D creations and maybe you like to play with us (:o)
Thanks for stoppin' by and leaving your always appreciated comments
