Well, i had to experience my first try stamping into modeling paste
The materials i used: A nice selection of DecoArt products
The stamps i used, where too fine detailed..but...hey...it was my first try and they gave a nice texture anyway
Art doesn't have to be perfect (:o)
Before i started applying the modeling paste, both cover had a layer of simple white glue. I had the fixed idea, that this way the modeling paste is holding better to the cover. The puzzle pieces are sticked into the modeling paste.
As the modeling paste was dry, i painted a layer of white acrylic paint
Next...layers of a paint wash ( more water than paint). I started with the lightest colour *Tranparent Yellow Iron Oxide*
I used the colours ( as you can see on the picture above) from left to right.
I wiped of the paint on some spots with a damped towel
Next layer *Quinacridone Gold* I wiped of some paint again...after i made this picture
Next layer, wipe of the paint .....and so on..
Before applying the last layer *Transparent Red Iron Oxide*...i stamped the face on tissue and glued it to the cover with DecoArt Duraclear Matt Varnish. You can use this varnish also in between the layers of washes to secure. In either case use the varnish to finish.
A little shine at the end....
Not that bad, hmm???
