Happy sunday, dear crafters. I was a little bit late for the last Octopode Factory Challenge.Today i woke up with sunshine to my surprise because the hole week was very grey and cold. Well, i grabbed a coffee and started my day creating another journal page and added a crown for the current challenge. I guess my obsession for the royal family is not a secret anymore (:o)
The Queen's Foot Guard
Did you know that five regiments of the british army form the Queen's Foot Guards?
The Queen's Guard are responsible for guarding Buckingham Palace and St. James's Palace in London. They usually consist of *Foot Guards* ( guards on foot) wearing full - dress uniform of red tuniks and bearskins (hats)
When the Queen is in residence, there are four foot guards at the front of the building, when she is away there are two.
Hi crafty friends (:o) I've used my day off yesterday to create a new journal page for the Octopode Factory Challenge. You can create everything you have in mind, you don't even have to use an Octopode image but there have to be some spots and stripes.
Thanks for all your lovely and appreciated comments
Happy sunday, dear bloggers, crafters and friends (:o) DragonsDream TagItOn has a new receipe and it's a song of your choice, bird, blue, crown and at least one real stamp. Well, this tag is a jump back into my childhood, because the song i've choosen is the first one i felt in love with as i was six years old.
Hi crafty friends (:o) It's a bit quiet in my craft room just because the normal work needs a lot of my attention but i managed to create a little steampunk jewellery. The new theme at SanDee's & Amelie's Steampunk Challenge Blog is *Balloon - Balloon*
I was busy cutting some gears as the idea to make some jewellery came to my mind.
I always need a lot gears and i found a great die to cut some as often i need them
I used my cuttlebug with 2 sheets of cardstock between the cutting plates and as you can see........
...it works great with shrink plastic also....
I stamped a balloon with StazOn grey
Cut and lightly coloured with watercolour pencil
Notice how the light blue turns into dark blue after shrinking
I coloured the gears after shrinking with DecoArt Acrylic Paint...
...and applyed a layer of Triple Thick Glaze on top
Used some jumprings and a piece of metal to assemble
Thanks for reading and your appreciated comments
Have a nice weekend
This *Toolbox* i found at Ikea at the glasware section and can hold 6 glasses. Well, i didn't bought glasses, but it was also useful to get a bunch of candles to the cash desk (:o)
A short step by step of my decorating progress

Have fun playing with splatters
Hi folks, hope you had a nice Halloween party and a nice weekend. There is a new receipe at DragonsDream and they are asking for a film of your choice, texture, embellishment, a hint of red and at least one real stamp.
To be honest, the tag i'm showing is the one i've created for the last TIO, as i noticed that i'm using the wrong colours. If you turn a blind eye on ( film = series / a little bit more than a hint of red) this tag will fit the receipe i hope.
The D of TRUEBLOOD seems to fade away, but that's because the very shiny finish on top of the tag, you'll see on the last picture.
Here's the step by step
If you want to use the heat gun to dry Kroma Crackle immediately, you have to use a diluted glue or a medium underneath
I applyed a layer of Americana Triple Thick Gloss Glaze on top. It has nearly the same consistence as Glossy Accents.
Hope you like it (:o)
Off to create some altered playing cards for a personal trade now.
