It seems to be a tag week for me and don't you wonder about my unusual daily posting? Actually hubby had an operation at his shoulder yesterday and i'm playing nurse for this week. That's why i also took an off - the - cuff decision and booked the new Online Workshop *Punk Fiction* with Michael DeMeng, i'll show you later on if it isn't too creepy for this space (:o) Otherwise you'll have to connect me on Facebook to watch my albums there.
My blogger friend Rosie left me a notice with her comment on my Tim tag yesterday, that there's another tag challenge she's hosting at Tag Along with the same theme. Well, i went into my craftroom and created a new tag just because i love it to create just for fun. This time i had an idea at the beginning, but while i was creating it didn't went out as i thought it will be. But that's exactly why i love creating tags. If something isn't working, i can always change my mind and it helps me avoiding mistakes on bigger objects. I'll also enter this tag to Simon Monday Challenge as the theme ist *Blues* for this week
And here is some of my *Work in progress*
I covered a tag with aluminium foil
Used Distress Stain antiqued bronze on top
Covered the the tag with a mix of patinas.
I had the idea, that the bronze colour will show thru after sanding but it didn't happened. So i layered some bronze stain on top and wiped a bit off.
Same process to the ticket but without embossing
Actually i don't wanted to go for a dark colour. I've tryed stamping over the patina onto the ticket but it also didn't worked neither with StazOn. I turned out *mushy* but the best part was, that i could wipe it off with StazOn StampCleaner. I applyed a layer of DecoArt Faux Finish to both, the tag and the ticket and after drytime a thin layer of Gesso to get a crisp background for stamping. And it worked as you can see on the picture below.
Prepared the metal embellishments with Gesso
These pieces are then treated with Tattered Angels Chalkboard *Decadence* and Glimmer Glaze *Saffron*
Also changed the colour of the flowers from green to blue with Glimmer Mist and a layer of Gesso underneath
Assembling with the hotglue gun, a little bit more paint here and there... on some spots
The finished tag and some details
Hope you like it!
Thanks for your appreciated comments
