Mixed Media Garden

Happy Sunday, dear crafters (:o)

My blogger friend Ana made her guest debut for Country View Challenges and the challenge theme for february is *Painty Pleasures* choosen by Trace of Inkypinkycraft
Well, you don't need to call me twice for a paint pleasure

It all started with this 50 cent piece.....

The painty pleasure began with Gesso....

...followed by a mix of DecoArt acrylic paint

A crackle medium was next...

..and a light colour on top

Some sanding for a shabby look around the outer edges

I stamped butterflies with Archival coffee and used Versamagic on the edges.
Sealed the box with DecoArt Traditions Faux Finishing Medium

Coloured some chipboard letters with acrylic paint, heat embossed with Utee and distressed with StazOn

Glued hesian inside the box and the letters on top

Created some garden signs from cardboard and wooden skewer, painted with chalkboard paint

I'm counting for spring...... (:o)
The idea of this creation had a cool french guy called L'Atelier74
It's too bad that he's not creating since february 2012

Thanks for your appreciated comments

Jetzt bin ich zufrieden, Elly! Hab bei Facebook ja nur den "Teaser" gesehen. Das ist ne tolle Idee und das Resultat kann sich sehen lassen!

Brilliant painty garden - the glossy yet grungy lettering is so cool, and I love the butterflies stamped over the crackle on the edge. The little chalkboard signs are adorable. Great project.

I checked out the link - how sad that he's not blogging... I wonder if he's still creating somewhere though...
