Art - Tiles - DecoArt DT Tutorial

Happy friday, dear crafters (:o) Today i want to show you, how to make some art tiles from shrink plastik like i did on my canvas with paper clay a while ago.

Drybrushing with DecoArt Metallic Lustre

Supplies: shrink plastic, stamps and the following DecoArt products: black acrylic paint, Traditions acrylic paint quinacridone gold, Metallic Lustre champagne ice, silver spark, iced espresso, copper kettle and DuraClear matt varnish
First you have to make some tiles like i did
from shrink plastic's just stamping onto the (still warm) shrink plastik

Paint all tiles with black acrylic paint

Now...the drybrushing part with Metallic Lustre

Starting with silver spark

Take only a little Lustre and wipe off on a paper towel. As we are going to drybrush it's always better to start with less

Below you can see the difference between less and more drybrushing

Don't forget the backside

Time for the next colour and i'm using iced espresso on some spots

Followed by copper kettle

Champage Ice

Seal with DuraClear Matt Varnish

Finish with drybrushing some spots of quinacridone gold here and there

Below...i layed down the shrink plastic art tiles next to the paperclay tiles to show you that there is no difference

Use the tiles in your next art work or make a bracelet

Happy crafting (:o)
have a nice weekend and thanks for your appreciated comments

Oh my goodness, what a glorious make - and a beautifully detailed step-by-step too - I'm so glad I finally have a bit of time for some catching up here.
