2014_06_decoart
 The excitement continues
as we lead you on a world tour of amazing artists playing with Stampendous, DecoArt, and Princeton Artist Brushes via inspired by Willow Wolfe products together! You'll be amazed at what they've created! If you missed the beginning of our journey, be sure to go back and check it out! MONDAY - TUESDAY - WEDNESDAY
-------------------------------------------------

Welcome back and i hope you had fun hopping so far (:o)

Today i'm sharing an ATB (artist trading block) with you
Supplies:
DecoArt Media Gesso and Modeling Paste, Traditions Faux Finish Medium, Texture Glass, Crafters Acrylic Gloss *white*, Acrylic Paint *pebbles* and Patio Paint Metallic *rich espresso*
Stampendous Frantage Encrusted Jewel Technique Kits *bronce, teal* and Frantage Embossing Powder

Step by step

I've created an artist trading block by mounting some coaster and primed the block with Gesso

I've mixed a bit of Acrylic Paint *pebbles* with the Media Modeling Paste and applied the coloured paste to the coaster. I also pressed halfpearls and lasercut gears into the paste

Dusted a mix of the Frantage Powders on top

Melted with low blow heat tool from above. Started 8" away by slowly going down

Next I've made a mixture of Texture Glass and Frantage embossing powders. This mixture was applied to all corners.....

...and to the lid of the box. I also dusted some Frantage Embossing powders on top of this mixture and started the melting process with the low blow heat tool.
The inside lid had the same treatment with different colours of embossing powders

Two lasercut wings got a treatment with Crafters Acrylic Gloss in white. I applied a generous layer of Faux Finish Medium and sprinkled Frantage Embossing powders on top. During the melting process with the heat tool, i've dusted more colours on

The metal embellishments had a blow with the heat tool....

...then the powders are dusted onto the hot metal and heated again

A closer view on the lid

The lasercut gears and clock hands had a layer of Faux Finish Medium and the powders on top before heating

Inside the metal embellishments i've used some epoxy stickers

For the fancy curling feets of the box i've spinned some wire around a wooden stick and cut in four pieces

The wire pieces are hot - glued to a round piece of wood and these are hot - glued to the box

The inside of the box is painted with Patio Paint Metallic *rich espresso* and i drybrushed the same colour on some spots of the block and to the halfpearls

I've created some fancy flowers from the leftover pieces

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial
