Stampendous - Stack Art - Petrifaction

Happy friday my crafty friends
Today is the final day of Stampendous Stack Art blog challenge inspiration week.
Generously sponsored by Stampendous with the Stack Art products, some Mixed Media Artist's and the Stampendous Design Team shared their talent and ideas during the week.

The Stack Art Kraftboard Kits are interchangeable and you get 4 stacked cards (atc size) from each kit. You can combine the Kraftboard Kits with the corresponding Stack Art Stamps Sets and the Stack Art Elements Kits to decorate the cards with glitter, fragments and flock

The Stack Art Kraftboard is even strong enough to stand up to the weight of mixed media layering and wet mediums.

The petrifaction of the fish is simulated by stamping into epoxy putty with layers of DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics on top. The Stampendous Stack Art Kraftboard was painted with Gesso first followed by DecoArt Media Crackle Paste, a lot layers of DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics, Media Antiquing Creams and Media Crackle Glaze

I've created the main focus of my artwork with the Stampendous Kraftboard which was then layered on cardboard and foamboard. The main focus has the most layers of mediums which needs a strong base to avoid warping.

Maybe it looks difficult to create for non mixed media crafters, but it's simply layering of DecoArt Media Line products with some techniques i've learned with Andy Skinner Online Workshops

Here's a shot of the first cardboard base how i started.
Cold embossed cardstock ripped and glued to cardboard with a layer of black acrylic paint

Washes of DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics, drybrushing and DecoArt Media Antiquing Creams

A shot of the second cardboard base and how i started

DecoArt Media Modeling Paste, Gesso, Media Fluid Acrylics, Cheesecloth
You can even see a Stampendous border stamp from the Stack Art *Royal Heart* stamp set at the background on the painted foamboard

If you are interested how the new DecoArt Media Line works i recomment these Media Product Line Tutorials

Well that was a looooong post with a lot information you hopefully enjoyed.
Please hop over to Stampendous and take a look at the amazing creations of my team mates. By leaving appreciated comments on the designer's blogs you get the chance to win one of three Stack Art prize packages.
I want to say *Thank YOU!" for your patience with my mostly a bit longer postings, your support and your overwhelming comments. I love every single one ♥
Thank's to Stampendous for the trust and the unstinting support of their products.

Good luck for the prize
