Happy tuesday, dear crafters (:o)
It's STAMPtember at Simon Monday Challenge and it's all about techniques
Well, i'm not a stamping queen with a lot techniques in my head, but i know how to ask the right questions at YouTube and i've tried a technique called *retiform* ( you maybe already know). I'm glad i'm always making step by step pictures, because my tag ended up covered and what you still see is just a background.
In this case i didn't rock the technique - i'm just showing a technique but that's why i love challenges.
Challenge myself and trying something new.
Step by step
The video about the *retiform technique* here
I used Distress Ink pumice stone and broken china
I used stamps from Stampers Anonymous, Katzelkraft and Inkadinkado
A lot masking with this technique
A copper metal sheet from Spellbinders, embossed with the Cuttlebug (A/C plate) and Spellbinders M - Bossabilities (reversible embossing folder) called Lovely Lattice
Painted with black acrylic paint.....
A *Must have* for every steampunk fan
Spellbinders *Sprightly Sprockets* by Donna Salazar
I've adhered a sheet of copper metal to cardboard.
It was a bit tricky to cut this thick layer with the Cuttlebug and i used the A/B plate with a shim
The metal gear was then painted with black acrylic paint and sanded. A layer of DecoArt Media Antiquing Cream patina and sanded again
...and i've used this stampset
I've coloured the main image with Distress Inks and it's clear heat embossed with Utee
I just noticed, actually i'm using a lot different techniques (:o)
I hope you feel inspired to join the challenge
