Body Beautiful

Hi crafters (:o)

The Mixed Media Challenge Blog *The Mirror Crack'd* is calling for a new challenge and want to see your interpretation of *The Body Beautiful* Something featuring the human form, a hand, an eye or maybe a mannequin.

My solution is a split face

This project started with an empty box 4,5" x 5,5" x 2,5" and a LaBlanche face stamp

I glued down the flaps of the box and secured all edges with masking tape

I adhered the faces over the edge with DecoArt Media Matte Medium

On top of the faces a layer of Triple Thick

Painted the box with Media Black Gesso

Used Media Black Modeling Paste and a stencil

The laser cut gears are sticked into the Modeling Paste

A zipper was sticked into the Modeling Paste, too

I've pushed some gears under the zipper and applied more Modeling Paste around the zipper to secure
Drytime for one night

Next day, i've glued down more wood and metal embellishments. I also used some metal foil

Painted the embellishments with Media Black Gesso

Started painting with Media Interference Gold

Interference Violet, Magenta and Blue was painted  side by side and on top of each other

I've glued down  epoxy sticker and gems

Finished with a layer of Triple Thick on all sides

I hope you feel inspired to join the challenge at *The Mirror Crack'd*

Thanks for your appreciated comments

Hello Elly
I love it...from the beginning to the completion of this creation I hung on every step of the tutorial.
Great box with all it's elements and the split face....just fabulous.
Thankyou so much for joining us this month at TMC.

Wow, that is some transformation! So many elements on this that I just love...from the embedded zipper to the image you've wrapped around the corner. Just brilliantly done.
