TIO #163 - Letter z and face

Happy monday, dear crafters (:o)

I finished my tag for the DragonsDream *Tag It On* Challenge at the weekend. The receipe is the letter z, a face and at least one real stamp.

I don't know if using a zipper creates a zipped tag, maybe it's more unzipped....eather way it has to do with a zipper. The face stamp i bought from the online shop of my favorite german artist Isabelle Zacher. You can buy her magazines here, find her blog here and she also has an YouTube Channel. I also used the Stampers Anonymous *Papillion* set.

Have a nice start into a new week.
I only have to work till thuesday, because i'm going to the Art Specially, a dutch craft fair, at the weekend.

Unfolding pyramid

Happy sunny saturday (:o)
Today i want to share another obsession with you. I found an upcoming class at the internet about an unfolding pyramid at Creative Journey Studios, which i'm unable to book, because it won't take place in my neighbourhood. Somehow i have an obsession with polymer/ceramic clay art tiles and faces, that's why i had to try my own version of this unfolding pyramid.

I started with cardboard

The measurements

I glued paper inside with DecoArt Decoupage

Gesso on the outside followed by applying DecoArt modeling paste with a stencil

Stamping on tissue

Glued to the sides with DecoArt Faux Finish Medium

DecoArt 2 step crackle

The faces are made with Aves Apoxie Clay

For the tiny booklet i stamped on used teabags and hand - dyed paper

Another variation with just paper. It's a digital design called Paris Day Dream by Tsunami Rose Design you can by at Etsy

And one this case i stamped with LaBlanche stamps onto speciality stamping paper

Love to read what you think (:o)
Feel free to make your own unfolding pyramid and please share your project by leaving a link to your creation with your comment. Love to see what you create as my friend Rosie already did.

Have a nice and creative weekend

I have never been to New York

Happy Thuesday (:o)

Have you ever been to New York? I'm not, but maybe....sometime.....

I accompanied  hubby to a hardware store yesterday and i found a very cool roll of wallpaper, which made my head spinning about the possibilities. Today i've made a card for the actual challenge #314 at Paperminutes and they want us to use paper and ribbon only.

I guess, everybody in Germany knows the designer (:o)

Say it with words

Alison's choosen theme for challenge 2 at A Vintage Journey is : Say it with words

Love London

I've transfered a piece of paper from the Tim Holtz idea-ology *French Industrial* paper stash to a piece of Ranger sticky back canvas. A tutorial can be found here.  I stamped with StazOn and used my favorite Stampers Anonymous Paris to London stampset. I've downloaded a free template to cut the shape of the purse and glued it together.
Thanks for your appreciated comments

Happy sunday

Are you lucky?

Hi, my crafty friends (:o)
Back from Norway, i luckily survived a rough sea, waves of 5 metres and wind speed 9.
Take a moment and remember how lucky you are.
Are you lucky in love? Do you want to be lucky or do you have a lucky number?
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is asking if we are down on our luck?
I have some kinda affection with numbers and 13 is my lucky number

Thanks for reading and your appreciated comments.
Have a lucky day (:o)

Easy peasy envelope mini album

Happy wednesday crafters (:o)

I'm going on a mini cruise to Oslo from friday till sunday and i've created an envelope mini album which also fit's the actual challenge at Country View Challenges - Paper Chase

You can make whatever you would like to as long as your project  has a strong theme of paper

I've created an envelope mini album to catch the memories of the upcoming mini cruise. This cruise is a prize i won with my team at work, sponsored by our employer. I guess we'll be 120 people at all at this cruise. We are leaving Kiel friday 14.00 pm and arrive Oslo saturday 10.00 am. A bus is waiting for an excursion round Oslo and we are visiting a museum. Leaving Oslo on saturday at 14.00 pm and arriving Kiel on sunday at 10.00 am.
Really a short trip and most time we spend on board relaxing.
What's more relaxing than filling a mini mini album with pictures, i can print out directly (:o)

A little step by step about the construction of the mini

I used 6 office envelopes B6 size ( 17,6 cm x 12,5 cm )

There is no glue needed at the first steps

I simply open the envelopes and layer two of them at the folding lines of the flap onto each other. Stack the nex two on top and so on....with all six envelopes

I just eyeballed the middle and made three holes....

...and sewed them together like i simply signature

I used Distress Ink Vintage Photo around the edges

Now you have to decide where you want to have some openings for tags or photo mats and cut the envelope open

Glue your paper to the envelopes

You can watch the easy construction on YouTube by artsongandsoul

I'm going to upload pictures after the cruise to my Facebook page. If you are interested, meet me there (:o)
