Take It, Make It

The current blog challenge at Craft Stamper *Take a Technique* Texture is running till Midnight GMT Wednesday June 24th 2015. You'll find the guidlines to play here

Mea culpa! I've paused nearly a year. My last entry was July 2014. Coming back now, with a
Rusty Textured Card
using corrugated cardboard, strips of cardstock, old book pages, tissue paper, Gesso, Crackle Paint and Crackle Glaze

For the base i used corrugated cardboard. Ripped off some paper, painted Gesso around the border and glued down a lot strips of paper

Next i've applied Gesso with a pallet knife and layed old book pages into the wet Gesso.

As everything was dry, i've teared off some of the paper

You maybe notice a larger piece in the picture below, with the same integredients. Actual i was working on an art panel and the card - base was my test object but that's another challenge...
The next layers are DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics Metallic Gold and TENseconds Studio Iron paint....followed by....

...DecoArt Media Crackle Paint and DecoArt Media Crackle Glaze..before i started...

...spraying the Patina to activate the Iron paint

Next up some stamping on tissue paper with black Archival ink

Glued the tissue to the card with Matte Medium and applied DecoArt Transparent Yellow Iron Oxide on top

Applied some more DecoArt Crackle Glaze and splashed some Media Fluid Acrylics Cobalt Turqouise Hue drops with the brush

Next was stamping on acetate with StazOn...

..and painted the lady with Media Fluid Acrylics at the backside

Finished Card

The winner gets voucher worth 20 GBP !
Stamps of your choice from Rubberdance
Well, and the second winner will be chosen by the DT and get published.
I hope you feel inspired to create some texture, too
Thanks for reading and your appreciated comments
