The spooky Halloween is almost upon us, and the monsters are rubbing their hands, waiting to come out and create chaos and mayhem.

I've created a Mixed Media Tag for this special occasion and i'm sharing some steps

I started with a Giant Manila Tag "12 size, painted with DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics
Green Gold, Yellow Green Light and Blue Green Light. I spritzed Media Shimmer Mister White on top

Next was painting a thin layer of Media Fluid Acrylics Transparent Yellow Iron Oxide

I also stamped some *cracks* on the background with Archival Ink Jet Black

Next i adhered a fuzzy cut skeleton ( digital download from Etsy) with Media Multi Matte Medium and created shadow around the skeleton with a black Charcoal pencil

My head was fuzzy cut from a picture and glued down with Media Multi Matte Medium, too.
More stamping and colouring with Media Fluid Acrylics Pyrrole Orange and Dioxazine Purple

Fuzzing cutting - also digital download - Tombstone and Hanging Skulls.
Glued down with Media Multi Matte Medium

Colouring the images with Media Fluid Acrylics

Stamping Bats

Pumpkins printed on acetate and painted from the back. Layering with Hanging Skulls and Tombstone. Printed the quote and glued down. Coloured the fuzzy cut images and created shadow around the images with Media Fluid Acrylics Paynes Grey and a Detail Brush.

The tag was completely covered with Media Crackle Glaze and dried over night.
I applied a wash of Media Fluid Acrylics Paynes Grey on top but spared the white accents as they need to pop out

I finally sealed the tag with Media Ultra - Matte Varnish

Happy crafting (:o)

Wow - a truly fabulous spooky tag. First the background is amazing - love the effect of the Transparent Yellow Iron Oxide over the Shimmer White over the green... looks like some horrid otherworldly oozing goo (in the nicest possible way of course!). Fantastic images - those hanging heads and the decapitated witch are really quite disturbing (again in a good way!!).
