Altered Card Swap- Part 4

Hello my crafty friends (:o)

Today i'm sharing my last set of 13 cards for
The first set can be found here
The second set can be found here
The third set can be found here

When it comes to painty, messy backgrounds (can't help myself, but i'm not a Gelli Plate artist)...i'm absolutely out of my comfort zone.
I'm total getting lost and all my backgrounds will turn out brown- ish, when i'm creating without any inspiration. With this type of backgrounds i'll always have a look at my favorite admired artists and in this case it's a journal page created by the full time mixed media artist, currently the Editor at Craft Stamper Magazine, Trish Latimer

The base are sanded and pre - gessoed playing cards

I started by mixing DecoArt Media Fluid Arylics Titan Buff and Prussian Blue Hue

Below you see the different amount you need...

I painted with a sponge

Next i've stamped Media Fluid Acrylics Titanium White
(Stamp from LaBlanche)

Applied also Media Fluid Acrylics Titanium White with a bubble stencil

Same bubble stencil and Media Fluid Acrylics Green Gold

Below you see the background so far....
Stripes made with an old credit card, curves painted with a brush

Next colour Media Fluid Acrylics Pyrrole Red

Stamped circles with a lid from an empty bottle

Some accents with black permanent marker

Now...for the embellishments....painted watercolour paper with the same colours i've used before
Ignore the grey.....i didn't used it

A sheet of patterned paper from an old basic grey line

Painted stripes with Spectrum Aqua Markers

The cutting part

Adhered the individual parts to the card
More painty accents with a small brush ( notice the tiny dots in white and red)
Sealed the whole card with DecoArt Media Ultra - Matte Varnish to get rid of any shine...

...because the only shine i wanted to leave was on the heart and that was archived with DecoArt Media Gloss Varnish

Yes, 14 cards...!!
One for me...and 13 for you....if you paticipated the swap
I hope they arrive safely
Thanks for hosting the Altered Playing Card Swap's, Jessica Brogan

Thanks for reading and if you feel inspired...
...thanks also for leaving your appreciated comments
Happy crafting!

Cards - Mixed Media Background - Gold Foil / Rub-ons

Hi Crafters (:o)

Today i'm sharing cards with mixed media backgrounds with you
A looong post with a lot information and videos for you

Most recently...you come across gold foil and gold accents everywhere

Well, the Prima foils and Rub - ons are brand new and i have to wait a few month to get my hands on I bought my foils via the La Blanche shop and there is actually a short offer via HSE 24

LaBlanche made a video about the foil transfers, too

..and another video from LaBlanche about the mixed media backgrounds

My step by step

Stamps i'm using are also LaBlanche, Ranger Sticky Embossing Powder and Specialty Stamping Paper, Versamark and StazOn

Applied DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics Cobalt Turqoise with a brush and directly dabbed with a damp cloth

I did the same with DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics Transparent Yellow Iron Oxide

Applied with a brush and took some of the paint off with a damp cloth

Next stamping with Versamark and heat embossing with Ranger Sticky Powder

The foil sticks to the Sticks Powder

Next i've use paper with gold foil accents (LaBlanche Fantasy Paper collection)

LaBlanche lasercut  wood elements painted with DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics Titan Buff

Stamping *Congrats* with StazOn, used Versamark and Sticky Embossing Powder around the edges

DecoArt Media Antquing Cream Patina Green to fit the background for some vintage, grungy touch

Inside the card also stamping, sticky powder and foil.

I'll post the cards the next days to my birthday friends

Happy Crafting
