Hello Crafters and Makers :o)
Today i have an easy transformation for you
From plastic into
Grecian Art or...
...Greek Style
Supplies
Flower Pot
Molds
Any kind of Air Dry Paper Clay
Structure Paste or Wall Plaster
DecoArt Media Gesso White, Liquid Glass, Media Fluid Acrylics Transparent Yellow Iron Oxide, Quinacridone Gold and Paynes Grey.
Use the clay ornaments carefully but straight out of the molds and glue them with DecoArt Media Liquid Glass to the flower pot
Wait 30 minutes till the Liquid Glass has set and the ornements are more stable, before painting the flower pot and ornaments with DecoArt Media Gesso white.
Apply structure paste or wall plaster to the flower pot and let dry over night
Prepare the three colours of Media Fluid Acrylics and a container with water...
...and start painting with Media Fluid Acrylics Transparent Yellow Iron Oxide
Don't paint neat! Just slab the paint on, go with the brush into the water and spread the paint / water mix. This way you get areas with more paint and areas with less paint.
Do the same with Media Fluid Acrylics Paynes Grey.....
...followed by Media Fluid Acrylics Quinacridone Gold.
Use a hairdryer to dry the paint layers....and repeat....from Paynes Grey to Quinacridone Gold to get more depth
If using the flower pot outside, i recommend to seal the pot with an outdoor sealer / varnish
Happy crafting!
xoxo
