Rustic Card for Facebook Group

Hello Crafters and Makers :o)

Today i have another card for you.
Created for a Facebook Group and i had to incorporate corrugated cardboard somehow

I've traced the form on mixed media paper

Stamping with black archival ink and two different stamps
( flower and script)

I've coloured the flower with my spectrum aqua markers and sealed the image with DecoArt Media Matte Medium

I've applied DecoArt Texture Glass on top

Painted washes of DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics Transparent Yellow Iron Oxide and Paynes Grey on top

The laser cut chipboard on the background had a treatment with embossing powder

Happy crafting!

Ivory Resin

Hello Crafters and Makers :o)

Recently i had a quick play with Pentart Ivory Resin

From this two - component system you can create ivory *style* shapes that look like genuine ivory. Use flexible moulds or jewellery blanks to create unique, antiques and shabby chic pieces of art

Drying time is just 30 - 40  minutes at room temperature and even at this stage the product can still be shaped, files, bent or twisted to the desired finish

After a couple of hours the product is no longer malleable. You can now decorate the finished article with paints, pastes, stamps and stencils.

Happy Crafting

Flower Pot Transformation

Hello Crafters and Makers :o)

Today i have an easy transformation for you

From plastic into
Grecian Art or...

...Greek Style

Flower Pot
Any kind of Air Dry Paper Clay
Structure Paste or Wall Plaster
DecoArt Media Gesso White, Liquid Glass, Media Fluid Acrylics Transparent Yellow Iron Oxide, Quinacridone Gold and Paynes Grey.

Use the clay ornaments carefully but straight out of the molds and glue them with DecoArt Media Liquid Glass to the flower pot

Wait 30 minutes till the Liquid Glass has set and the ornements are more stable, before painting the flower pot and ornaments with DecoArt Media Gesso white.

Apply structure paste or wall plaster to the flower pot and let dry over night

Prepare the three colours of Media Fluid Acrylics and a container with water...

...and start painting with Media Fluid Acrylics Transparent Yellow Iron Oxide

Don't paint neat! Just slab the paint on, go with the brush into the water and spread the paint / water mix. This way you get areas with more paint and areas with less paint.

Do the same with Media Fluid Acrylics Paynes Grey.....

...followed by Media Fluid Acrylics Quinacridone Gold.
Use a hairdryer to dry the paint layers....and repeat....from Paynes Grey to Quinacridone Gold to get more depth

If using the flower pot outside, i recommend to seal the pot with an outdoor sealer / varnish

Happy crafting!

Wood carved bunnys
Rice paper or stamped tissue paper
DecoArt Mixed Media Program: Matte Medium, Modeling Paste white, Fluid Acrylics Transparent Yellow Iron Oxide, Quinacridone Gold, Paynes Grey, Metallic Gold, Antiquing Cream Patina green

Glue rice paper or stamped tissue paper to bunny with Matte Medium.

 Apply Modeling Paste with stencil

Paint a layer of Fluid Acrylics Transparent Yellow Iron Oxide and when dry, seal with a painted layer of Matte Medium

 Apply Antiquing Cream Patina Green

Remove some of the patina when dry, seal with Matte Medium

Paint a watery layer of Paynes Grey mixed with water

Dab off some of the watery mix with a paper towel

Same watery procedure to the other side

Create a mix of Fluid Acrylics Quinacridone Gold and a tiny bit of Paynes Grey and paint the mix to the bunny

The leftover edges had a treatment with Fluid Acrylics Metallic Gold

Now i'm off...to hide painted eggs
Happy Easter!
